Cameraman from Bel'in arrested at 4:30 AM

Imad Burnat is a 36 years old man, from the village of Bel’in and a young father of four children.
For living, he uses his camera to film the ongoing effort of his village citizens, together with Israelis and international activists who are demonstrating for almost 3 years against the seperation wall built on the village's agricultural lands.

On sunday, July 19th, at 4:30 AM, five Israeli jeeps invaded the village of Bel'in. When the jeeps went into the village, Imad pulled out his camera in order to document the happening. He didn't know that the soldiers came for him.

When the soldiers knocked on his door at, his wife and childers were awake and Imad was already filming. The soldiers then ordered Imad to stop filming, in the excuse that the area is considered a "closed military zone".
Imad claimed that the area is his house and that he is a journalist.
The soldiers were not impressed and forced him to stop filming.

During his interrogation, which lasted seven hours, Imad was asked what does he do with the films, who does he work for, where does he present the films and who does he sell them to.

In the past month, the frequent night invasions of the Israeli army to Bel'in have resulted in 17 villagers being arrested, along with one Israeli activist and an American international supporter.

Video that was taken by another Village citizen after the arrest was uploaded to Youtube:

The most tasteless army in the world

"Israel has the most moral army in the world"...are you familiar with the sentence?

Below are some examples of shirts that were ordered by Israeli troops to mark the end of basic training or other military courses:

The purple one says: "We won't relax until the kill verification"
As you can see, in the green one, a pregnant mother's belly is under a sniper's viewfinder while the text says: "Snipers division - 1 shot 2 kills".

Here, the white shirt says: "The smaller, the harder".

The red shirt shows a demolition-squad soldier in a character of a demon blowing up a masque. The text above the picture says: "Only god forgives".
As you can probably see, the pattern above shows a dead baby under the sniper's viewfinder and the baby's mother crying. The text says: "Better use Durex".
So the most moral or the most tasteless?...

Prolog

Hello everyone

My name is Eyal, I am 23 years old and this is my first blog.

In this blog I am going to share with you different incidents that, for my opinion, didn't get the right attention from the Israeli audience and most imporant, the international audience.

Israel is enjoying having an image of a very modern, liberal, progressive and human-rights keeping country. While most of the time, for some of it's residents Israel is really liberal, for some very large groups of people it is a dark, conservative and racist country.

In order to prove what I just wrote, I will be posting videos and articles that were published in the Israeli media (in order to minimize any potential subjectivity).
